Here's my first (and currently only!) piece for elementary band! Written for the PMEA District 1 Elementary Band Festival in 2024, "Blues for PMEA" is meant to be an introduction to jazz, blues, and improvisation! The piece can be used as a great vehicle for introducing jazz to young musicians. It follows a simple 12 bar blues form, and even has a section for basic improvisation for any student! Basic "improvisation guides" are included with purchase, complete with the blues scale, and some "licks!"
