"Continue On" is a rearrangement of an original work for saxophone ensemble. It received the Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composers Award in 2021. This version features a solo trombonist, in addition to standard big band instrumentation. This piece travels over a broad range of harmonic colors, ranging from bright lydian sounds in 3/4 time to darker aeolian sounds in 5/4 time.
